Goat and goat

I like to work with linen rope and paper thread. If you take an ordinary tin can (from canned fish or condensed milk) and glue it in a spiral with such a thread, plus complement the work with burlap and lace, you can get an excellent vase in a vintage style. The barrel for topiary also looks great from twine. Beautiful go out lace napkins and coasters for hot. I did not stop at all of this and decided to make a toy out of linen thread. It easily bends, weaves, quickly adheres and looks elegant. Since the goat is a symbol of the coming year, I made a couple of obstinate goats. And I take this master class to your assessment.
For crafts, you will need this material:
- flax rope, paper thread;
- scissors and stationery knife;
- PVA glue;
- a piece of cardboard or a book (notebook);
- fabric cuts.
First you need to take a piece of thick cardboard or any other basis (notebook, book, candy box). The height of the cardboard will determine the size of the craft. On this basis we will wrap linen thread. You need to make about 20 turns around the cardboard.
Now we take a clerical knife and carefully cut the bottom edge, and with the second hand we hold the threads from above so that they do not break up. Above (in the middle) the segments must be tied with a thread.
Now proceeds to manufacture the second workpiece. Again, take the cardboard base, wrap 20 turns, cut the bottom and tie in the middle.
To make horns and ears for goats, take paper thread for work. We cut three strands 25 cm long and weave from them a tight pigtail with two knots at the ends. We knit the blank in the form of a bow, only "upside down." It turns out long horns and oval ears.
We attach this inverted bow to the middle of the workpiece from twine. Even at this stage, you need to make a face. To do this, we form a skein of linen rope, only 5 turns 3.5 cm long. We attach it near the horns and form the head of the animal. Just dress it with a thread.
Then we separate three threads on the right and left and weave braids - these will be the “handles” of the goats. It is only necessary to ensure that they are in length, which is proportional to the entire size of the toy. Another thread is necessary to bandage the waist.
The goat girl is ready, she still has a skirt. But the goat-guy must have "legs". To do this, divide the remaining threads in half and wrap the paper thread in a spiral.
It remains only to revive the characters: stick them eyes and sew outfits.
The girl receives a beautiful purple sundress and cute little bows on the horns. But for the guy you need to sew pants and a shirt. In such fun toys, goats are made from linen twine and paper thread.
It remains only to beat the crafts. You can put a guy on a bench, give him a delicate bouquet. But the young lady is standing next to him. This composition is called: "First meeting." Such an original craft will be a great decoration for your home. It can be presented as a non-standard souvenir to colleagues, friends and relatives.
