A mini drone - a quadrocopter on remote control can be very simple to make at home. You can use it for games and as a layout for studying the work of the drone. The design contains a minimum number of parts, and the construction will take 15 minutes or a little more.
Our simple model has no adjustment of the engine speed, nor a change in flight direction. She does not know how to do anything except to ascend into the air and fall at the touch of a button. The remote control with a receiver for remote control can be borrowed from a toy, for example from a broken machine or buy - Ali Express. The main condition should be that all the electronics work properly from a voltage of 3.7 V.

The 3.7 V battery is taken from an old mobile phone, it can also be purchased - Ali Express. There you can choose much smaller options.

Mini engines for flying models can be bought - Ali Express.

Propellers will also have to be purchased - Ali Express. They should be suitable for engines. So it’s better to take them altogether as a kit - here on Ali.

Making a drone - quadrocopter


So, first of all, we will assemble such a lattice of four sticks for ice cream. We fix all the hot glue. This will be the main frame of our mini quadrocopter.

We glue the battery in the same way to the frame.

We glue four engines with propellers into the corners of the grill.

Now you need to make the legs on which the drone will stand. Cut two ice cream sticks in half.

Attach to the base.

Add remote control board. The output of all engines will be connected in parallel.

We connect the motor wires to the output of the remote control board.

We are connected to the battery.

Verification Hold the drone from lifting and press the button on the remote control. If the propellers of all four engines spin, everything works properly.

We go out into the open, put our quadrocopter and check the work. The drone should fly to the top without any problems.

If the propellers spin and the structure does not take off, check the battery level. If everything is normal, you need to facilitate the design. In principle, the power of such four motors should be enough with a margin.

During construction, I recommend saving as much as possible the total weight so that the drone is as light as possible. So pour less glue, cut off the shortest wires, etc.
