Since I was captured by such an exciting lesson as glass painting, I was pleased to find that the eternal question "What is there to give?" decided somehow by itself. Indeed, for any occasion, there is always at the ready an exclusive little thing in which - and this is the most important thing - a piece of your soul is enclosed. And although there are still more than two months left before the next global holidays, we begin to stock up on handmade gifts.
For the creative process we will need: opaque paints for painting glass and porcelain, a marker for painting porcelain, a white porcelain plate, solvent, brushes, a can of water, cotton pads and sticks, metal foil.
With cotton pads and sticks it is convenient to remove unnecessary drips, you can make an excellent “palette” of foil - it is very convenient to mix paints in small recesses to get new shades.
Of course, before dipping a brush in a jar of paint, we need to decide which particular pattern or pattern will appear on the plate. It is convenient if in the process of drawing there is always an approximate sketch of the future creation before your eyes. For a sketch, you can use the drawings found on the Internet, pictures from magazines, and, of course, your own imagination. For example, I wanted to realize something like this:
We begin to transfer the picture to the plate. For these purposes, it is convenient to use a special marker for glass, which outline the contours directly on the plate and draw on top of its lines. If this is not at hand - it’s not scary, you can paint right away with paints, if something doesn’t work in the drawing - it’s easy to fix, because paints are easy to wipe.
When the entire surface is painted and dried, we take in our hands a black marker for painting porcelain and draw details wherever we want - we outline the contours. There are no restrictions here, we draw as the fantasy tells.
Now, an almost finished product must be dried for four hours in the air, and then sent to the oven and held there for 90 minutes at a temperature of 160C. Then turn off the oven and wait for the plate to cool.
Everything is ready, we begin to admire!
