After the repair, PVC pipes may remain, which can be used with benefit by making a few simple home-made products. When heated, polyvinyl chloride acquires plasticity, so working with it is a pleasure. For the manufacture of the proposed homemade products, only pipes without the use of other materials will be used.
Ice tongs
A piece of PVC pipe is heated along the entire length with a hair dryer.
As soon as it becomes plastic, it must be squeezed with a wooden block, giving the tube a flat shape.
The hair dryer warms up the center of the flattened billet, and it bends in half around another whole pipe.
To strengthen the workpiece on it, you need to squeeze stiffeners. To do this, the halves are warmed up alternately, after which they are pressed along the tube with a smaller diameter.
The ends of the workpiece are heated and compressed by a clamp to solder the walls, making them flat.
Existing defects are corrected with sandpaper, and the forceps can be used as intended.
It turned out great tongs for ice or something else.
Refining screwdriver handles
Old or uncomfortable screwdriver handles can be upset with PVC tubes. Because of this, they become thicker and longer, so they better fall in hand.
A small segment of the tube, about 5-7 cm, is heated by a hairdryer and partially fits on the handle of a screwdriver.
Once it hardens, you need to warm up its protruding end and put on a plastic plug.
It is important that it does not stick, so it must be constantly rotated until it cools completely. Now resting your palm against the plug, you can twist the screwdriver without rubbing the skin.
If you warm up the tee remaining after the repair and put it on the handle, you will get a convenient removable T-shaped handle for screwing and unscrewing the fasteners under load.
Keychain mini cutter
To make a miniature keychain knife, you need to cut a piece of tube about 3-4 cm. By squeezing it with clamps, the blade of the mounting knife is inserted into it, after which the workpiece is clamped to the maximum.
Reheating the preform requires squeezing it again by placing a needle plate between it and the jaws of the clamp. Only half the tube must be pressed in from the blade side.
The second part should be locally heated above the candle and soldered, squeezing the clamp as much as possible.
Several segments break off from the blade so that the blade of the knife is not too long.
For the sheath, another pipe section is used.
It is heated, pulled on a blade with a handle and flattened.
The sheath is lined with sandpaper and clings to the carbine from the keychain. Now the knife can be worn on keys.
In which case, you can cut off even a tight seat belt if it is jammed.
