And how do you like the idea: to make a case for storing a garden hose out of it? In the country, such a homemade product is definitely useful.
The case is quite lightweight, compact and most importantly - mobile. It can be transported without problems in the trunk, as well as stored in a barn or in the same garage.
Preparatory work
Since the canister is old, then, for sure, for a long time lay somewhere on the street.
Therefore, first of all, we arm ourselves with a angle grinder or a drill with a brush for metal, and clean our canister of rust and paint.
In the central part of the canister (on both sides), a round hole must be cut using a jigsaw.
To give the canister a beautiful appearance, as well as protect the metal from corrosion, you need to paint it. The easiest way is to use a spray can.
The main stages of work
From the scraps of the sewer pipe and the plastic plug, the author collects a drum on which the garden hose will be wound.
To make a pen with which you can twist the drum, the author uses an old cutting disc from the grinder and a piece of steel strip. Parts must be cleaned and painted.
At the last stage of work, we proceed directly to the assembly.
