In the manufacture of various home-made products and fixtures, and simply - when processing parts or blanks in a home workshop or garage, a home-made "third hand" is useful. And it can be made from improvised materials.

To make a rotary “third hand” with your own hands, you will need profile pipes 25 * 25 mm and 20 * 20 mm, regular round pipes (¾ and half inch), a strip of metal, as well as fasteners (bolts, nuts, washers).

First of all, it will be necessary to determine the dimensions of the "third hand", after which it is necessary to cut the blanks of the required length.

The main stages of work

For this homemade workpiece, the following are needed: a profile pipe 20 * 20 mm and a length of 200 millimeters, a M14 hairpin with a length of 250 mm, a profile of 25 * 25 mm with a length of 250 mm.

A round three-quarter pipe length of 350 millimeters is also required. It is necessary to insert a piece of a half-inch pipe with a length of 400 millimeters into it.

On round pipes the master made cuts. This is to make it easier to insert one pipe into another, since there is a factory weld inside.

At the last stage, it remains only to drill holes in the workpieces and weld all the details of the structure. After that, you can paint the parts and proceed with assembly.

Details on how to make a home-made "third hand" for the garage and home workshop, you can see in the video on the site.
