Bulgarian (angle grinder) is available in almost every home workshop, in the country or in the garage. This power tool is used for cutting metal, grinding, and is also very often used as the main link in some kind of homemade product.
To extend the life of the angle grinder, you need to follow 3 simple rules. This applies to both network and battery angle grinders.
Change brushes in time
If you change the brushes on the angle grinder in a timely manner, then you can extend the life of its work by 2-3 times. If this is not done, then the developed brushes can lead to the closure of the armature winding.
With the timely replacement of brushes, the inter-winding plates have a uniform color, and there are no signs of burning of the winding. And at the same time, the tracks themselves wear out evenly.
Lubricate the angle grinder
Another simple rule, the implementation of which will extend the life of the grinder, is not to forget to “update” the lubricant in the gearbox. Without lubrication, gears will wear out faster.
If there is insufficient lubrication, the gear of the armature will wear much earlier than it should be. Therefore, be sure to ensure that there is enough lubrication in the gearbox.
Do not put grinding wheels
On a 125 mm grinder, it is better not to use thick grinding wheels, since during operation there is a fairly strong lateral pressure on the angle grinder.
As a result, bearings and gearbox axle wear out faster. Grinding is best done with a 180 mm grinder and more. Remember that you can only disassemble a power tool after the warranty period has ended.
