You can “refresh” your home interior and bring some “zest” into it in various ways, including using original shod candlesticks. They can be made with your own hands from an ordinary steel bar.
In this case, the master uses a bar with a diameter of 5.5 mm and a length of 850 mm to make one candlestick.
The process of making a homemade candlestick is very simple. And first you need to heat the bar red, then, using the anvil and hammer, give one of its ends the shape of a cone. It should be a "tail".
The main stages of work
At the next stage, it will be necessary to fix the “tail” of the bar in a bench vise, and then bend the bar counterclockwise. The metal should be warm enough to twist it easily.
Having made a couple of turns in a vise, the master does the subsequent turns already on the blacksmith's anvil. And the remaining free end of the bar must also be given a conical shape. Then you need to bend it with a hook.
At the last stage, it remains only to polish the candlesticks to the brilliance of the metal. Well, then the candles themselves are installed. As a result, we obtained original decor items with our own hands.
