The idea of manufacturing this device is to facilitate the task of accurate and quick cutting of various workpieces from various materials, including at a certain angle.
First you need to take a bar, the size of 72x10 cm, process it so that it has protruding edges along the entire length. In work we use the machine. Then we glue the transverse sides into the beam, squeeze them. In the center of the transverse sides we drill holes into which we insert metal tubes.
Next, we make a box of plywood and wooden blocks 40x72 cm in size. Having installed a block on a box (24 cm from the edge), we drill holes in the box through those that have already been made in the transverse side. We place threaded tubes into them, into which we screw the pins. We put a bar on them.
The main stages of work
The next task is to make a slot in the bar and box in the center. We use an electric jigsaw. Now, from the right edge of the beam, you will need to cut a longitudinal hole at an angle. And then we cut it out, working with a drill and a jigsaw.
We will attach one more bar to the box, slightly stepping back from the left edge. Next, we make a rotary structure of two parts. For marking, we use a pencil, a protractor and a ruler. We will prepare and connect the resulting part using a threaded sleeve and a bolt with washers inserted in the box, one of which is wooden.
A long beam will clamp the workpieces with homemade clamps. Now the compact platform with the jigsaw guide is ready to go! Please note that this design can be done in less than one hour, and it will be applied in work constantly.
