From unnecessary scraps of ferrous metal, which are often lying underfoot or at the corners in the garage and home workshop, you will get useful welding equipment. For example, you can have a very convenient holder for electrodes, as well as a simple clamp for fixing different workpieces at an angle of 90 degrees.

Of course, many have long been accustomed to cooking with a classic trident holder or a standard clothespin, but a homemade holder is also not a miss. Moreover, it is very simple to make it - even a beginner will cope. Well, an additional clamp in the arsenal of the welder never hurts.

Welding electrode holder

For this useful homemade product, you will need a section of a profile pipe 20x20 mm, a wing bolt with an extended M10 nut, as well as an elongated nut with a diameter of 12 mm. In the first nut, one through hole with a diameter of 4 mm must be drilled.

In the second elongated nut, it will be necessary to drill two holes of different diameters (6 and 7 mm), in which then it is necessary to cut the thread. The elongated nuts are welded at the ends of the profile section. We twist two guzhona into the lower nut, and then insert and fix the welding cable in it.

The electrode itself is inserted into the upper elongated nut and clamped with the wing bolt. Thus, a lightweight grip was obtained.

Work clamp

For the second homemade product you will need a pair of M6 wing bolts, ordinary M8 bolts, a 50x50 mm angle, and also a steel strip 4 cm wide. We cut a piece of the corner about 10 cm long. Two pieces of the plate will also need to be cut.

Then in each corner shelf we drill one through hole with a diameter of 8 mm. We drill the same hole in the plates. Along the edges of the plates, we additionally drill a hole with a diameter of 6 mm and cut a thread into them. Then proceed to the assembly.
