It would seem, well, why reinvent the wheel and come up with some other magnetic mass for welding, when the clip "clothespin" copes well with this function. However, there are situations when it is not very convenient to use these clips. But the magnetic mass is easy to attach to any surface of the metal.

In this case, the increased contact area will provide a reliable closure. As a main element for this homemade product you will need a regular round magnet from the speaker. You will also need a housing from the pressure gauge and a cover cut out of sheet metal.

The materials are the simplest and you can easily find them in a workshop or garage. And first of all, it is necessary to cut the cover for the magnet. To do this, apply a magnet to a metal with a thickness of 3-4 mm, circle the contours, and then cut out a circle of the same diameter as the magnet.

How to make a magnetic mass for welding

After we cut out a circle from sheet metal, we process it on an emery so that the edges are even. Then we drill a hole in the center of the housing from the pressure gauge, and a piece of the stud must be welded to the cover. After that, we weld all the parts into a single whole to make a round box.

We attach the copper wire from the mass of the welding machine to the stud and fix it on both sides with nuts and washers. The detailed process of manufacturing a magnetic mass for DIY welding can be seen in the video on the website.
