This simple device is easy to make with your own hands from scraps of metal. With it, you can manually bend a wire of various thicknesses, giving it a certain shape. For example, wavy lines, curls, rings, etc.

Also, using this device, you can bend segments and pieces of sheet metal, making them hollow cylinders or cones. To make homemade products you will need a small piece of steel round pipe, a strip of metal and a round bar.

The main stages of work

First of all, cut a small piece from the steel pipe and cut it lengthwise into two halves. This can be done with a grinder. The result is two arched sponges that will bend the wire or sheet metal.

Then we flatten the pipe sections in a vise a little, after which we weld them to pieces of steel strip. One of the clamping jaws must be welded to the edge of the workpiece, and the second to the side surface of the metal strip.

At the next stage, two plates are vertically welded to the base of the lower jaw, in which we drill through holes for fastening the second part of the homemade product using a bolt and nut.

Next, we cut off two segments from the steel round timber from which the device handles will be made. The surface of the parts and the places of welded joints are processed on an emery or belt grinding machine.
