The main stages of work
First you need to file the blanks that will be required to assemble the wooden frame - for this, we dissolve a 20 mm thick board on a circular saw. Then the sawn blanks must be passed through the thicknessing machine so that they are the same size.
At the next stage, we manufacture runners for a rocking chair. We press a wide edged board to the table with clamps, draw a curved line with the help of a template, and then cut the skids with an electric jigsaw.
Assembly process
We connect the runners of the rocking chair with the help of jumpers, then we make a "seat" in the form of a support for the seat. So that fasteners do not catch the eye, it is better to make hidden fasteners using a factory or home-made template for this.
Lastly, we fasten the side parts with armrests and the back of the rocking chair. And finally, to give the product an original appearance - we burn the surface of the wood with a gas burner. The rocking chair can be coated with colorless varnish, soaked in mineral oil or painted with paint.
