Having available the trim profile, which is used when installing drywall, a conventional hammer, metal scissors, as well as spot (contact) welding, you can make a mailbox for letters and other correspondence. Box dimensions - 250x350 mm.
We pick up a tape measure or ruler, a square and a marker, mark out the scraps of the metal profile remaining after the installation of drywall, then cut off the lengths necessary for the size. This can be done with scissors for metal or a small grinder - to whom it is both more convenient and familiar.
The main stages of work
At the ends it is necessary to leave 2-3 cm of metal, which then simply bend with a hammer or hands to make closed boxes. If necessary, using the same hammer, align the sides of the profile.
At the next stage, we proceed to the assembly of the rectangular frame. In profiles 350 mm long, it is necessary to bend one of the sides - that is, we make corners from them. Then we fix the bend points by contact welding (in principle, you can do with ordinary rivets). After that, we join together all four segments.
The joints are fixed by spot welding or using rivets. When assembling the frame, be sure to check the right angle. The back and front walls of the box are made of tin - the back wall is deaf, and in the front you need to additionally cut a window and insert a piece of plexiglass into it.
