When you have to work a lot with a soldering iron (connect electrical wires to each other), then for greater convenience you can use the simple “third hand” device for soldering wires.
For the manufacture of this homemade product you will need a piece of a strip of metal about 15 cm long, two pieces of tube 20 cm long and two bolts with nuts.
The first step is to weld two metal tubes along the edges of the metal strip. Fully scalded is not necessary - just grab from two sides. But this is up to you.
The main stages of work
At the next stage, it will be necessary to weld nuts to the ends of the tubes into which the bolts are screwed. Welds must be cleaned with a flap circle.
Next, you need a pair of clothespins, in which you need to drill one hole for the bolts. Then the clamps are attached to the metal tubes.
After this, it remains only on one side of the strip of metal to weld a piece of pipe on which a coil with solder will be put on, and on the other a piece of a corner or plate. Thus, homemade work can be fixed in a bench vise.
