Home-made stoves made from various materials at hand are very popular today. In this review, the author decided to share the idea of ​​how to make a potbelly stove from old car rims.

Such a "disk" potbelly stove without problems can be used to heat a home workshop or garage. According to the author, this stove is able to heat a room with an area of ​​up to 30-40 sq.m.

A home-made stove has two doors: through the top, firewood is loaded, the bottom is used for ignition. It also removes residual ash or unburned coals.

The main stages of work

To make this homemade potbelly stove, the author uses four old rims. With the help of a grinder, they need to cut the "core".

After that, all four rims must be welded together, setting them on top of each other. In this case, to one of the disks, which is located in the middle, the master welds another piece of steel grating. The holes below and above are welded with sheet metal.

At the next stage, in the first, second and fourth in a row car rims, the master cuts rectangular holes with a grinder. Then it will be necessary to weld and install the doors. The lowest door serves to remove ash from the ash chamber.

Legs are welded to the bottom of the potbelly stove, and at the top, the master cuts a round hole and welds a pipe to remove smoke. Then the metal must be cleaned from rust and painted with heat-resistant paint.
