From the scraps of a building corner and wooden boards, you can make an original chest with your own hands. And you can use it in different ways. For example, to store family heirlooms and family values.
Also, this chest can be used to store toys in the children's room (especially if the child is a fan of cartoons about pirates).
First of all, you need to cut the right number of pieces from the corner. In short corners it is necessary to cut out part of the shelf. Then the author welds four rectangular frames.
The process of making a chest
At the next stage, we cut off eight more workpieces from the corner that will be used as vertical posts. Welds two rectangular frames: the main part of the chest and the lid.
After that, the two frames will need to be connected together using loops. A pair of pieces is enough for such a chest. The welding spots will need to be cleaned with a grinder.
Then the "skeleton" of the chest must be sheathed. You can use a piece of plywood as the bottom, and the author sheats the side walls with planks, filed in size.
For greater originality (in the presence of an anvil), forged decorative elements can be made. The finished frame must be painted black, and the boards can be varnished or mineral oil.
